The Land Down Under is a whole other world, with its rugged outback, amazing beaches and vibrant cities, and you can explore it all with cheap flights from the Mexico with Globehunters.
Australia is a huge country, so you probably won’t get to see it all in one trip, but there are plenty of places for you to check out.
For example, Queensland is the home of the Gold Coast and the world-famous Great Barrier Reef, with some fantastic beaches and rarely a day without sunshine.
Queensland’s capital, Brisbane, is a major cultural centre and is particularly popular with backpackers and surfers who make the most of the waves off the coast.
The country’s oldest city, Sydney, is known around the world, with great restaurants, nightlife and, of course, iconic sights such as the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
On the West Coast, Perth is full of glistening skyscrapers and great beaches and is only a short ride away from some popular spots to visit. Down the road you can find Fremantle, home to a selection of heritage-listed buildings, and the Darling Scarp, home to lush forests, cool waterfalls and some of the oldest rocks on Earth.
Finally, in Victoria you’ll find Melbourne which is a cultural melting pot of Victorian architecture and a very modern outlook.

Here’s everything you’ll need to know when flying to Australia from the MX, including flight times and entry requirements.
With the MX and Australia both being such large countries, how long your flight will take will largely depend on where you’re flying to and from.
For example, direct flights from the West Coast of America will take around 15 flights, whereas from Dallas, they’ll take about 17.
Unfortunately, if you’re travelling from the East Coast, there are currently no direct flights to Australia, so you’ll need to catch a connecting flight from another airport such as Vancouver, Los Angeles or Guangzhou, which will take over 20 hours.
All MX citizens travelling to Australia will need to obtain a visa or travel authority before travelling and this will usually be an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) visa.
These visas are applied for online and used for 90 days Down Under, as long as you won’t be working.
These visas are linked to your passport, so you just need to scan it upon arrival at the airport.
For those wishing to stay longer, work, or are a non-mx citizen, there may be other visa requirement. We recommend that you check the Embassy of Australia website for more information.
The following airlines currently offer direct flights from the MX to Australia:
- American Airlines
- Delta Air Lines
